Are you lost in transition? In our journey through life, we inevitably arrive at points of transition. These may be self-generated, or thrust upon us by events beyond our control. Some are relatively easy to hurdle, some more difficult. The articles posted here are all written to provide guideposts, to provide encouragement, or to share a personal experience of transition.
Lost in transition? (Please read on....)
The Tibetans believe that when a person dies, their soul travels through several "worlds". The important thing is not to be lured into meandering forever in any of the worlds...but to continue your journey to rebirth. The "Tibetan Book of the Dead" was written to guide the soul's journey. (Doris Lessing's "Shikasta" is a fantasy describing this experience.)
What about our journey in life? As we progress from childhood to adolescence and beyond, we inevitably arrive at points of transition....each with a threshold which opens to the next leg of your journey. These transitions may be self-generated, or thrust upon us by events beyond our control. Births and deaths. Marriage and divorces. New careers, new relationships, new opportunities. Some are relatively easy to hurdle, some more difficult. The challenge is to be able to continue your journey without becoming mired; discovering that hidden threshold and stepping through.
Here, you will find a toolbox of ideas, guidance, and stories that may parallel your own. We welcome seeds from other sources, but hoping to reap from the abundant wisdom of the Vine, we would prefer fellow Newsviners to post their personal articles about Transitions.
